Our Hazel Crest Community UMC food pantry partners with the Greater Chicago Food Depository. This is a non-profit food distribution and training center with the mission of providing food for hungry people while striving to end hunger in our communities. Karen Persons reported, “We served 60 turkeys last Thanksgiving by asking for donations of money and/or turkeys; and we are in the process of doing that again this Thanksgiving.”
If you are interested in volunteering in our food pantry, please contact Karen Persons through our church office at (708) 335-4500. The food pantry opens every 2nd and 4th Wednesday; 11:00 A.M. – 12:00 Noon
